Radically Open Security

Niko Schmidt

Niko's field of attention is reverse engineering with a focus on analysing malware. He is a project manager at the Institut für Internet Sicherheit if (is) (Gelsenkirchen), where he has been developing a CTF Contest together with his team. Niko is also an assistant at the Chair of Systems Security at the Ruhr-University Bochum. He recently finished a project on virtual machine introspection with focus on defending against malware. Now he applies formal theories to find vulnerabilities in software. Niko is a general (in)security enthusiast, who is curious for a variety of technologies, such as Arduino, Android and analysing botnets.
